The 2012 Republican Presidential Primary Season in Review

By

December 3
Herman Cain
Could not explain
His unwanted advances,
Which wrecked his chances.

January 4
Michele Bachmann
Walks her talk and
Therefore did submit
When the men said "Quit."

January 16
John Huntsman
Was the frontsman
For moderation.
Wrong nation.

January 19
Rick Perry
Didn't last very
Long. His appeal for rain
Went down the drain.

April 10
Rick Santorum
Lost his quorum.
Since then we haven't heard
A word.

May 2
Newt Gingrich
Said "Give back that ring which
I gave you.
It's time to renew."

Now
Ron Paul
Won't call
Himself a bubble.
He makes trouble.

And
Mitt Romney,
The nominee
For President...
Leaves us hesitant.

As, Meanwhile
Paul Ryan
Seeks buy-in
For a budget...
That makes no sense.
