Behind the Scenes

Behind the scenes
Is where the Real is;
The Real is
Behind the scenes,
Where you wouldn't care, perhaps,
To even steal a glance
Unless you knew that, really,
The only place if anywhere
Where the Real is clearly visible
Is precisely there -
Behind the scenes;
That you can never tell outside
Which face is mask,
Which blood is modified
Tomato sauce,
Which tears are glycerin,
Which fresh is rot,
Which what is what.
