Languishful Pome

By

Tilt-tongued bad taste,
reprehensible, indefensible,
this pome is embodied;
its nights are languishful,
its expectations a zygorama –
do you feel it?

This pome is not much. But
it lies in wait for you.
It’s strangewishful; its days
are languageful; itself
a grackle, a fieldfare
of words.

This pome has designs
that aren't decent.
Fancylightful, it does not intend
to make a respectable reader
out of you, nay. But.

Jane Røken lives in Denmark, on the interface between hedgerows and barley fields. She likes to think of herself as an internationalist. Her writings have been published in many different places, most recently Antiphon, Mobius, Snakeskin, Star*Line, and International Times.

It’s strangewishful; its days
are languageful; itself
a grackle, a fieldfare
of words.
